"Hold it Against Me", הסינגל הראשון מתוך אלבומה השביעי של בריטני ספירס, דלף היום אחרי שהושמע בבכורה ברדיו האמריקני. כזכור, וכפי שצייצה בריטני בטוויטר שלה, השיר היה אמור לצאת מחר, ב- 11.1.11, אחרי גרסת דמו שהתפרסמה עם זמרת אחרת.
השיר החדש הוא בהפקתו המוזיקלית של מקס מרטין הותיק, שאחראי להצלחות מפורסמות של ספירס כמו Baby One More Time, Oops... I Did It Again והלהיט האחרון של הכוכבת "3", יחד עם ד"ר לוק (לוקאס גוטוולד), שאחראי ללהיט שלה "Circus", ומפיק שוודי נוסף בשם Shellback. אולי זה מה שיחזיר את בריטני לעניינים בעידן הנוכחי בו שולטת בעולם הפופ ליידי גאגא.
