#tbt to my first month in the gym. Not really knowing what to do, but pushing anyways. I then started researching and looking online for myself, and that's how I've learned most of the stuff I know today. Ofcourse I've also took a few college courses and read the issa certification book, but alot of the stuff in there is stuff I had already learned online. The information is there, go get it. The only thing I reccomend is staying away from main stream media sources because they will give you whatever is best for marketing (magazines, popular website article pages). Search for people on youtube that you like and see if they have videos answering your questions. That way you don't get any false information that the media is just trying to make money off of.

On the left is the heaviest I ever was at 312lbs. On the right I'm the lightest at 173.6. Some people have commented before stuff like "this is no transformation, you let yourself go and then stopped being lazy". In my mind I think "omg really it was that simple!? I just had to stop being lazy" and it actually angers me, and here's why. I wasn't focused on how healthy I was, I was focused on getting pleasure from food because I struggled to find pleasure in life at all. In the past ten years I've had a ton of loss in my life and I'm not using it as an excuse but it does have a sever impact on how you live. Everyone deals with things differently. Now there are people out there that just eat because they don't care and are lazy I wont deny that. But that's such a small amount compared to the hundreds of overweight people that have sent me messages explaining why they ended up this way and how they desperately want to change. Everyone has a different story, and it's about time we listened and tried to help them fix it. Rather then ridicule them and tell them how they should fix it. Caring creates changes, hate just leads to destruction. Keep it positive!

It doesn't matter so much when you start, but rather why you start. If your doing it because of the pressure from others, you won't succeed. But the moment you decide to change the situation you are currently in for yourself, you will then be more succesful then every attempt before then. You are the most powerful tool at your disposal. Theirs motivation around you, but at the end of the day it's you who decides to do those last few reps, or track those last few macros and call it a day. Wake up every morning ready to fight. 130lbs wasn't easy to lose, but I made it, and I've never felt better. We all can transform! Let's work! #dynamikmuscle #transformationtuesday

Why do I reccomend weightlifting? If you don't enjoy it, then by all means do what you enjoy (swimming, jogging, hiking etc.) But if you can learn to love going to the gym. You'll improve alot more aspects of your life. It builds confidence, self love, determination, work ethic, and helps you become a better all around you. Not to mention your improve your overall physique, strength, power, and possibly endurance depending on what style you train in. You can become strong, look good, or become an explosive athlete. The choice is yours! 130lbs Transformation, 19-21, 5'9"

2.5 years separates these photos. That person on the left isn't gone, just much improved. 135lb difference and still going strong. My life is now dedicated to making sure others know it's possible because back then I didn't think it was either. But it is, and it's time for you to start your own story, get to work! You can do it!
